We are delighted to announce that Grace Linn, MA, president of Creative Media Solutions, Inc., has become a Communications Partner to Chazin Consulting. Creative Media Solutions is a full-service communications firm focused on designing and implementing social marketing communications that improve communities, enhance lives, and forward health equity. Grace will provide communications advice, strategic guidance, and message development, along with the design and delivery of effective communications plans and products, in support of clients. 

With Grace as a partner, Chazin Consulting will serve non-profit organizations, coalitions, state agencies, and other entities working to advance social change with an enhanced set of communications offerings that includes:

  • Blogs, issue briefs, fact sheets
  • Grant writing
  • Annual reports
  • Social marketing campaigns
  • Materials design & production
  • Strategic communications planning

Grace holds a master’s degree in adult and continuing education and certification in biomedical communications. She has worked with numerous public health agencies and non-profit organizations to design and implement social marketing campaigns —including oral health, equity, smoking cessation, cancer screening and prevention, disaster preparedness, healthy schools’ promotion, social service program awareness, and youth risk behavior reduction. Materials created for these projects include logos, brochures, annual reports, policy documents, newsletters, websites, PowerPoint presentations, trade show displays, advertisements, training summits, toolkits, product packages, and branded giveaways and gear. Her experience and education enable her to integrate science and art to present complex information in creative and consumable ways.

Sorry, Not Sorry: Women, Please Stop Apologizing!

In this month’s blog, I reflect on the very, very bad habit that many women – myself included – have of apologizing for “offenses” and minimizing themselves and their accomplishments in the workplace. I offer some suggestions for how we can catch ourselves when we do this, as well as support other women when they fall into the same trap.
